About Alliedog

Alliedog Design and Fashion Ltd is a family owned company in Christchurch, in the South Island of New Zealand. We are a dedicated team focused on producing high quality made to measure fashion garments and accessories for small medium and large dogs anywhere in the world - we deliver worldwide. We are very proud of our New Zealand origins and use local environmentally friendly materials wherever possible.
All Alliedog garments are individually hand crafted to fit any size or shape and taylor made for your dog. Therefore small differences between garments may occur. This is particularly true with our beautiful lamb slink jackets and possum skin collars where no two slinks or skins are ever exactly the same.


About our philosophy

All Alliedog garments and accessories are designed with comfort and style in mind. We only use materials that feel soft on our own skin and that we could wear ourselves—in fact all the fabrics and materials we have chosen are used in human clothing first and foremost. Each garment not only has to be comfortable and look good it also has to be practical; it must be easy to put on and easy to take off while the dog is either sitting or standing. Safety is important to us also, and all our rain coats, jackets and lamb slink garments have a reflective strip around the edge for visibility at night. Each style is road tested and approved by our own dogs before releasing for sale.


About possums

Possum fur is luxuriously soft but also environmentally friendly. In New Zealand possums are considered a major pest. Annually, possums destroy large amounts of NZ native forest, they compete with native birds for food, destroy their nests, and spread bovine tuberculosis. Millions of dollars are spent each year on possum eradication programs. More information about possums can be found on NZ Department of Conservation website http://www.doc.govt.nz
